Lobe Wonders
She calls them, "anti-ear sagging stickers." I love it! They call them, "Lobe Wonder Support Patches." Kinda boring. I'm digging calling them "Wonder Bra for Your Ears," I'm thinking I'll capture more readers that way. We shall see.
Lori's Review
"You place them behind your ear hole and pierce the post through them. I found they work well with posts, but I could not master getting a hoop or drop earring (with a wire back,) through the stickers."
"So I'd give them a B-"
My Two Cents As the Problem Solving Jeweler
Posts being straight and of a heavier gauge, will poke through these nicely. Wire backs are more movable and would easily bend while you're trying to poke them through the plastic.
There is something you might try, which is time consuming. (I know, we do do ridiculous and at times painful things to be beautiful.) Put the sticker on the back of your lobe and put through a post, creating a hole. Then remove the post and put your hoop or wire back through the created hole.
Another Idea, To Make These Babies Work With Wire Backs

More Flimsy Wire Backs and a Push Pin
Poke the sticker a few times with the push pin, (see picture) to create holes, then put it on the back of your lobe and hopefully you'll line it up with a pre-made hole and your wire back will sail through.
Santa Barbara Jeweler's Final Opinion
These are not expensive and they do keep the full weight of your earrings from pulling on your ear lobe piercing.
Possibly they could allow you to wear some earrings that you really love, that without these little wonder bras for your ears, would be staying home and unworn.
Can I say it one more time? "Wonder bras for your ears!" OK, I'm done now.

Calla-
I think the “wonder bra” for the ears is an interesting concept. Just wonder if your hair could get stuck to them or something of that nature. I am always putting my hair behind my ears and my glasses. Anybody tried them?
Nikki
Nikki,
When I tried them they were only adhesive on one side. I believe your hair would be safe. Since I’m not a back of the ear hair styler, I don’t know for sure.
Thanks for reading!

Okay, “Wonder Bras for Your Ear Lobes” is the best name ever! Thanks for the great advice, Calla. I had been struggling with putting hoops or drop earrings through them. When I have used them with my heavier posts, it is a vast improvement.
I noticed once the adhesive was firmly in place, my hair did not get caught.
Howdy, this is a good post. You get my vote for “Wonder Bra For Your Ear Lobes” Also I will bookmark this website right now.
I use them. I get them from Amazon. They are not perfect but they absolutely help. I pair them with the jumbo sized regular ole’ friction backs. The adhesive is only on one side, so hair isn’t a factor.
Susan, I love that you use them too. With heavy earrings they really keep them from yanking your ear lobe down don’t they?

Do they work? Cos I wanna get them. I’ve got some amazing lion head earrings but they are too heavy! Can someone plz tell me if they work so I can get them!
Hi Emily,
Thanks for your inquiry. For very heavy earrings these will help keep your earlobe from getting stressed, but it won’t address the tilting ear lobe.
I think the monster backs or disc backs would work better for your heavy lion earrings. Check out my blog on them:

I hope this helps you Emily.

I think my problem is unsolvable! I have small ears and they lay close along my head. Earrings point outward, to the side, and are hardly visible when you look at my face. Posts, wires, drops all face almost straight outward. Hoops just make circles sticking out of each side of my head. Is there anything that would help this? I want so much to wear beautiful earrings that frame my face like normal!
Kelly
Dear Kelly, I’m hoping that you have designing jewelers near where you live. I have custom designed earrings to curve forward in spite of a clients laying flat ears. It can be done. And you are so right hoops just poke out sideways in a most annoying and unbecoming way. A style I recently sold my client with your challenge are a pair of twisting elongated hoops. It’s hard to describe except to say they were like a DNA strand and were three dimensional and look good on her. You’ll need to work with a jeweler who lets you try… Read more »
Hi,
Would these work on fully ripped earlobes, or do you know of a product that would?? I have been earring-less for a while now because of a ripped earlobe, and until I can get surgery one day, I would love an alternative!
Amber
Hi Amber,
These do indeed work on fully ripped earlobes. One of my clients is currently wearing earrings with a ripped earlobe. It’s important to keep your earring choices fairly lightweight. Thanks for asking.

I enjoyed information on this topic very much. I have another product you may or may not be familiar with that works pretty well for me. They are a 9-10 mms round flat stiff clear disc with hole in center and reuseable, very thin and light weight. They are offered in larger size as well but I don’t know that size. You get 8 discs in a pack and sell for $4.69 free shipping. The only con for me is those suckers drop off your fingers when handling and hard to see! To be clear, after you place stud in… Read more »
Hi Mary,
Thank you for mentioning this option. I have used these in the past. If you don’t have monster backs and don’t have plastic or silicone disc backs you can definitely use these with a normal size post. Because they fall off your finger easily, I prefer an all in one solution. The monster backs or various disc back choices. I find them easier to use.
