  1. Hi there Calla Gold. The quotes you are doing are really enjoyable. I love the beautiful Pearls! Like a yummy pastry with my coffee, getting philosophy with your jewelry pictures is just wonderful. I love it!

  2. Calla, you know how I feel about pearls. You gave me such good ideas about how to wear my pearls from one of ‘special occasion’ to “wear them whenever I want to”! LOVE THAT.

    • Cindy,
Thanks for reminding me of that. It was so cool to liberate your pearls from hiding for a big occasion and free them to be a main attraction. Seriously they look wonderful on you. And pearl lovers should totally wear their pearls, a lot!
      Your Personal Jeweler,

  3. Seeing all of the styles of pearls inspired me. I have this knotted pearl necklace from my mom that’s a bit formal. It could be really cool to take those pearls and add them to little gem beads and space them out like you did in the Calla Gold Jewelry California casual style you use.
I could actually make more than one necklace using some of mom’s pearls as family gifts that way.
Can you tell, you inspired me?

    • Hi Sue,
I’m so pleased you were inspired! One of my clients inherited a 40″ blue baroque pearl necklace. It was fully knotted and super dressy looking.
We took it apart and put about an inch of white gold chain in between each pearl and used the wire wrapping technique to connect the pearls to the chains. We made her a necklace and made 6 more for gifts. She has a large family.
She still had leftover pearls. I’ve since then made three more as gifts for her friends.
Best gifts ever she told me.
I’d love to do some California Casual pearl necklace make-overs for your inherited pearls.
      Your Personal Jeweler,
